Camp Fire USA councils across the country celebrate Absolutely Incredible
Kid Day® in fun, unique ways!
These are just a sample of the great things previously done in local communities.
Doughnut Decorating and Discounts!
In Tulsa, Oklahoma, children have been invited to decorate a free donut at
a local Krispy Kreme Doughnut store and enjoy a day of discounts from area
merchants.
After
families participate in the doughnut decorating stationcomplete with
chocolate and sprinkles, they can enjoy free or discounted children's admission
at local family attractions, including the Tulsa Zoo, Tulsa Air and Space
Museum, Oklahoma Aquarium, Charleston's and Amish Kitchen.
The Green Country Council and participating organizations are pleased to provide families an opportunity to spend quality time together without fighting weekend crowds, and families report appreciation for the variety of activities made available and the chance to enjoy multiple activities in one day.
Last year, more than 2,000 people participated in the Green Country Council's special Absolutely Incredible Kid Day® activities, and over 20,000 sheets of free stationery were provided to adults to write letters of love and encouragement to the children in their lives.

Absolutely Incredible Awards
Camp Fire USA Lone Star Council in Dallas, Texas, doesn't just tell local
youth how absolutely incredible they are-it recognizes local individuals and
corporations that make a positive impact on the lives of children in the community.
At the Lone Star Council's Absolutely Incredible Kid Breakfast, Camp Fire USA youth members presented the honorees with "On Behalf of Youth" awards, as over 200 attendees observed. The 2003 award recipients were JoAnn Fogg, executive director, Girl Scouts of Tejas Council; Suzan Fenner, former board president, Lone Star Council; Jimmy Westcott, community leader; and J.P. Morgan Chase & Co., corporate leader.
With a number of sponsors and community agencies in attendance, the breakfast raised money for the Lone Star Council's summer programs.
