SHOW YOUR SUPPORT!
PURCHASE CAMP FIRE USA MERCHANDISE ONLINE AND SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL COUNCIL
Camp Fire USA Opens Online Store
Proceeds Benefit Over 735,000 Kids Nationwide

(Kansas City, Mo.) - Camp Fire USA's Online Store opened its doors this week allowing customers to shop for their favorite Camp Fire USA merchandise 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With orders traditionally placed through a catalog, the Online Store provides a new way for today's technology-driven consumers to support Camp Fire USA.

Purchasing Camp Fire USA merchandise online helps support the organization in two great ways. First, Camp Fire USA staff, board members, volunteers, parents, kids and friends show their support for Camp Fire programs and their pride in the organization by wearing and utilizing Camp Fire USA apparel and other items. Doing so promotes Camp Fire USA's brand and helps increase public awareness of the organization across the country.

Second, online purchases provide funds to Camp Fire USA councils. When customers place an order online, a portion of their purchases directly benefit local councils, helping youth in local programs learn about integrity, responsibility and equality. During check out, customers can choose a local Camp Fire USA council as the beneficiary of their purchases, or - in the event that customers do not designate a council - the proceeds go to the council with jurisdiction over the customers' shipping addresses.

"We are pleased to present a new means for America to support Camp Fire USA councils and their local programs," said Stewart J. Smith, CEO, Camp Fire USA. "The Online Store was designed with two goals in mind: creating convenience for our customers and giving money back to local councils. Online purchases will help over 735,000 kids nationwide become caring, confident youth and future leaders."

In addition to purchasing uniform pieces, apparel and gift items from local Camp Fire USA council stores, parents and customers can now visit the official Online Store to browse Camp Fire USA merchandise, place an order, even send an electronic gift certificate. Additional features include site security using Secure Socket Layers (SSL), the industry standard to encrypt order information into highly indecipherable code; search function using keyword or catalog item number; and online order tracking once orders have shipped.

"Beyond the features the Online Store offers customers and the benefits it provides our local councils, it's a smart business decision for Camp Fire USA," said Pam Wirken, merchandising strategist, Camp Fire USA. "Not only are we positioning ourselves as a competitive, consumer-friendly organization, we're also providing a service to our customers, allowing them to access Camp Fire USA merchandise from the comfort of their homes."

To visit the Camp Fire USA Online Store, go to www.campfireusa.org and click "SHOP ONLINE." For information about exclusive council merchandise, please contact the nearest Camp Fire USA council.
