Cathy Tisdale President & CEO
Cathy began her career as an educator in 1975. She joined the America Red Cross in 1978; serving in regional and chapter leadership roles and at National Headquarters over the next 27 years. In 1999, she joined Booz-Allen & Hamilton as a senior management consultant tasked with building the External Communications Strategy and Plan for the IRS Modernization effort.
In 2007, Cathy joined Girl Scouts of the USA National Headquarters and led the successful, groundbreaking consolidation of 312 councils to 112 councils, completing the effort ahead of schedule. She also led a new approach to assessing and increasing organization capacity and effectiveness, aligned to strategy. In 2010, Cathy was appointed President and CEO of Camp Fire. As a member of The Human Services Assembly, Cathy was recently appointed Chair of the National Collaboration on Youth.
